I have no idea how to exercise anymore 0_o
I need help.
My body is weak.
I want it to be stronger.
I'm thinking about joining a gym and seeing if they can put up an exercise plan to help me gain more of a gymnasts body.
But i would rather not spend the money, as i have plans for that paper with face's on.
Is anyone able to suggest an exercise plan for me? Or a super drug? Or a Witch that gives away super-powers every 2000 years? Anything that will help.
Oh! And pretty much all my Motivation is dead, how do i get that back? I miss it alot.

Parkour is good free all-round body conditioning yes yes.
I find watching decent well-made videos on Youtube helps me get motivation back yes yes.

Re: I have no idea how to exercise anymore 0_o
This is Josh, we've met before, i'm the one AJ was teaching B-twists too.
Anyway, i've been doing parkour for the last four years, and though i don't train as often at i would like, i think my body has reached it's limit as to how fast it's strength can increae through Parkour training. I want a faster method, but i have no idea as to how to go about doing it.
My motivation on this other hand is a tad more complicated. I aspire to be as good as many people and i am constantly watching videos. The trouble is, all of a sudden i thought to myself "Whats the point?" it must be something like the "Writers Block" of parkour. I get the feeling that i am becoming too reliant on money, and i don't want to run out of it any time soon, so i'm holding myself back. So now my prioritys have changed, and that is making me think "If i'm not willing to spend the money, am i really dedicated enough?"
I have no idea why my quote is "The Germans are coming" it was just there, i don't really care about it.

How about bodyweight lifting exercises?

Re: I have no idea how to exercise anymore 0_o
Here be mye two cents:
Motivation: Do it if you want to, otherwise don't. Of course whether you want to or not mayhaps be not measured in the short term.
Exercise: There is a day range of different methods available for the development of strength/conditioning.
Lots of them CAN work, and well too.
Largely the factors that determine success for those employing these methods are CONSISTENCY and PROGRESSIVE OVERLOAD.
It is pretty simple, not easy, but simple.
An example, if you go with the 'bw' exercises Lee suggested:
You'd do something like: Dips, pushups, pullups,muss-ups,rows,HSPU, GHR, Squats, one leg squats.
You'd divide the exercise into, maybe, two workouts: A+B. One week maybe A on Mon, B on Wed, C on Fri. Then the opposite next week.
Progressive overload= you'd try and add reps and/or difficulty to the exercise each session/week.
Consistency= You'd keep training and eventually you could get some 'impressive' stats, I dunno; 30 chinups, 5 'slow' muscleups, 15 one arm pushups, Sets of 8 GHR's.
Of course to achieve this you wouldn't have stopped at week three saying " this is going nowhere, I ain't tonk-hench-swole yet "
(Not saying do that program, just an example)
I realise this all sounds obvious, I'm not being facetious either.
Apply this to training and you'll see results, they may take time, but you'll see them.
Apply this to life and you'll see great results also, if you manage this tell me how haha.

Quite frankly, you haven't reached the limit. How are your climb ups? are they fast and explosive and go to straight arms?
If not then I don't believe you are anywhere near how strong you could be 'through parkour'.
(This is just one example of the strength that can be gained through parkour.)
I do believe there is a limit to how strong you can get through parkour but no-one in England is near that strength yet.

Since when did training involve how much money you spend?
Unless you are going to a shitty gymnastics place or gym to train.
Get outside. Train on walls. Train on grass. There is no difference between grass and a gym.
Listen to Iggy when it comes to a training program. He knows his stuff.
I'm really never sure as to whether you want to train parkour or gymnastics or tricking.
General strength can be improved by bodyweight exercises as Iggy has said.

Re: I have no idea how to exercise anymore 0_o
If you wanted a 'gymnasts body' you would train 6 days a week in a gymnastics environment. If you want to get stronger you just have to train, period. If you train your heart out 3 times a week in Parkour, or weight lifting or anything then you will get stronger.
Like Iggy said, it's simple, not easy!

Re: I have no idea how to exercise anymore 0_o
When i say that training is becoming too expensive, i'm talking about petrol, i probably should have said that. Verwood isn't the best place for training parkour, so i do need to travel, and Ferndown is the nearest place that has decent training grounds. There is a giant field near by that i can train in, or maybe maybe the forest out back, but i get the feeling that i'm limited. I would train more often, but it depends if i have people to train with, as i don't really feel comfortable training alone.
What Iggy said, sounded good, but what type of exercises would i need to do? I could do hundrends of push-ups and still have weak wrists, or hundreds of squats and still have weak ankles. I want to make sure i have an all round training for my entire body, i don't want gaps. I also don't want to have muscle weighing me down, i want to be light.
But i know nothing about exercise. So i don't want to do it wrong.
As stupid as this sounds, my next question is, "What do you guys do?"
What is your average training plan? I doubt i could keep up with it, but i could narrow it down to something i'm capable of.
Thanks for all the feed back.

Re: I have no idea how to exercise anymore 0_o
I think the post I made before is my best one ever. It's all downhill from here
According to Seyle's theory of adaptation, will your wrists not be stronger from having to support your bodyweight on a more sustained/regular basis?
Also a gymnast's body is attained as Scott described, you may also want to be 5'4"ish and weigh no more than 135lbs ish with relatively large joints and a long torso attached to relatively short limbs. (Yeah I just described Scott haha)
"i know nothing about exercise"
"don't want to have muscle weighing me down"
Mayhaps forget about this.
Again if someone gives you a routine the important factors will be the consistency you work at it and the progression in the exercises used. The best routine is the one you actually do.
exrx.net has alot of examples of exercise.
Really the plan is not as important as the violent application of the plan.
I do Bsq, pr, pllps twice a week with neck and grip/wrist on other days, I also do binch, b o rowz, rom dl and finish with abbzzzz once. Though of course learning this hasn't helped.

Maybe read this, check out the other articles in this section. Maybe Danjohn.org as well. Maybe.

I was eating crumpets whilst typing this.
